Mary, the 5-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred WOODALL of
Roachdale, died last week in Riley hospital of spotted or Rocky
Mountain fever, the same disease that took the life of James
WELCH. The disease is carried by a tick. Not all ticks are
carriers, but the state board of health warns campers and
vacationers to remove wood ticks immediately and to disinfect the
wound as a precaution -- kkb
